Some features are included in the standard pricing and some features are available for additional fees. Please see individual features for specifics.

At login, there are 3 alternatives for the message playback sequence.
Play any New messages first, then play Saved messages

Playback Sequence (New messages)
There are 2 alternatives sequences for New message playback.
FIFO - First-in-first-out (default setting)

Message Caller ID Retrieval
BayLink captures the Caller ID of all inbound calls (if presented). There are 3 alternative settings for retrieving the Caller ID associated with a specific voice mail message.
On Demand (default) – During message playback press 8 then press 2
Before – System announces Caller ID before playback of each message
After – System announces Caller ID after playback of each message

Message Date & Time Stamp Retrieval
BayLink time and date stamps all messages. There are 3 alternative settings for retrieving the time/date stamp associated with a specific voice mail message.
On Demand (default) – During message playback press 8 then press 1
Before – System announces time/date stamp before playback of each message
After – System announces time/date stamp after playback of each message

Message Rewind/Fast Forward
While listening to a message you have the following options
Press * key to rewind the message 5 seconds
Press # key to fast forward 5 seconds
Press 0 to pause message playback; press 0 again to resume playback
BayLink message boxes have a total capacity of 125 messages. The default allocation is 50 new, 50 saved and 25 deleted. This allocation can be adjusted to any combination which totals 125. Web Access
BayLink provides web access to your message box. You can retrieve voice through the web site. Message box users can reconfigure their notification points (email address, telephone numbers etc.) through the web site.
The capacity of BayLink message boxes can be increased. Additional monthly fees are applicable.
250 message capacity - $2.00 per month
500 message capacity - $3.50 per month

New Message Notification
BayLink message boxes include a notification feature to alert you of the arrival of a new message. Notifications can be:
Email (with or without attached audio WAV file)
Voice call to another phone number
Text message
An individual message box can have a maximum of 3 notifications enabled. There is no charge to enable this feature. Please contact BayLink Customer Service. return to top
Message Ageing
The default retention for BayLink messages is as follows:
New messages are retained for 45 days
Saved messages are retained for 45 days
Deleted messages are retained for 21 days
Retention periods can be adjusted to lower values. (For longer retention please refer to Message Archiving.) There is no charge to change this setting. Please contact BayLink Customer Service. return to top
Message Archiving (Extra Fee)
The retention period for Saved messages can be increased. Additional fees are applicable.
BayLink message boxes can have more than one greeting. Greetings can be scheduled to play at different times of the day/weekends etc. For example, one greeting for weekdays work hours, a second for weekday evenings, a third for weekends, etc. Greetings can be also be changed on demand through the telephone interface Regular greetings can be temporarily replaced with vacation greetings.
4 additional greetings (total of 5) - $2 per month
9 additional greetings (total of 10) - $3 per month
BayLink greeting can be recorded over the phone or you can upload a prerecorded greeting in .WAV format.

Call Filtering (Extra Fee)
BayLink message boxes can be configured to use the inbound caller id for specific handling. You provide BayLink with a list of telephone numbers (up to 25). Your message box can be configured such that calls from that list will not be answered OR only calls from that list will be answered.

Group Messaging (Extra Fee)
Independent BayLink message boxes can be associated as a group allowing for Group messaging. With this feature, any message box user in the group can create a message which will be automatically distributed to all other members of that group.

Remote Number Access (Extra Fee)
BayLink assigns a second (or third, or fourth, etc.) telephone number to an existing BayLink Service. Telephone numbers can be in any area code serviced by BayLink. Calls to any number will terminate in the same message box (same greeting).

Call Log Report (Extra Fee)
BayLink captures information about every call and message through its system. This information is retained for 90 days. BayLink can produce formatted reports showing all activity. Reports are in PDF format and delivered by email.
You will be notified by email and automated voice message approximately 18 to 20 days in advance of your renewal date. All BayLink services are provided on a prepaid basis. You have the following renewal period options.
Note: BayLink does not accept payments over the phone.
BayLink also offers automatic recurring billing to your credit or debit card.

Audio-to-Text Transcription (Extra Fee)
BayLink offers audio-to-text transcription as an extra charge feature. Transcriptions are fast, highly accurate and delivered to you by email.
